I had the opportunity to receive a Personal MicroDerm system from SkinCareRX.com. I've tried various microderm abrasion kits in the past that use various exfoliating creams, and have liked the results, but this one is different. This is an actual microderm system that uses aluminum oxide crystals just like the professionals. Only with this, you have the ability to use it in your own home.

The PMD is very easy to use. It comes with a short 8 minute DVD that gives detailed instructions on how to assemble the product and the best way to use it. I found it very helpful to watch the video before using the product.

Once you have put it together and have determined what skin type you have (you want to use the lighter grit first so you don't damage your skin), you simply plug in the PMD and using upward strokes, move it across the skin that you want to address. The caps create a vacuum and you can feel the discs on your skin. Be sure not to hover in any spot to avoid damaging  your skin.

I found it easy to move the product on my skin and the results were amazing! I have several dry patches of skin and this did an amazing job of removing that dead skin. It does need to be followed with a moisturizer so that you don't lose the important nutrients in your skin, but as long as you follow the instructions, it is a fantastic product!

I did notice some pinkness after using the product, especially the first time, however it faded quickly and the results have been very nice. I intend to use it on some rough patches on my elbows with the heavier grit discs and I believe I will see similar results there.
