I think that if a person wants to throw out something that is a stumbling block to them, that's perfectly fine. But I do hate to see wholesale dumping of everything "secular." It might be easier to approach life that way, but it certainly doesn't help us to grow any.

I was raised in a time when we threw away all of our secular records in favor of our Christian music. I have to say that's a move I regret today. There were many good songs in there that stirred my soul.
